Many of the episodes from the early years of Inspector Spacetime have gone missing, presumably forever, thanks to the atrocious archiving standards of British TeleVision. In 2012, however, fans rejoiced as many of the previously thought lost serials resurfaced, notably "The Saviour of Earth" and "The Underground of Doom". They were found in the archives of the Myanmar broadcaster Burmese Television (confusingly, also known as BTV), just in time for the programme's 50th anniversary. This was after a long search by intrepid explorer R. J. Reynolds.
